Today I overhauled my drive train. The axle nuts/locknuts on my Novatec hub somehow came undone and now the bearings are a bit rough. New 20t ALL City cog, KMC chain, and Shimano cartridge BB. I bought a gold k710 SL but it did not have enough links
ok, so I took a link from the previous K710 to make up and now all is well, but still :-/

TIL: my bike has 101 links

Today I worked on the bike with the best cockpit. Too bad the compass plastic is so clouded.

Travelled back in time. Before is up top.
got my first choice dinner reservation for my 15th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
had a hurry-up and wait day at work that didn't pan out. but now there is the likelihood of overtime tomorrow due to bigwigs slacking today...$$$.
ordered fenders (SKS Longboards) for the winter commuter.

Rode 20something miles. Not sure exactly, paused Strava at 18 and forgot to restart it. The reason I stopped at 18 is that my 721 seems to turn into a torture rack on rides longer than 15mi and it sucks hard. Thinking of selling as soon as I get back to my other bikes, or get them to me.
had the joy of cleaning the thick sticky remains of a choco-mocha-coolata thing off the Nature Boy. probably my messiest roadside encounter to date. even roadkill skunk goo wasn't that bad. more smell, but less coverage. yay, Simple Green.....
Today I laced up the matching front wheel for the Kilo, essentially completing the bike.... ); Also got my new camera in the mail.

Made a seriously boss steak and cheese sandwich to ease my frustrations and homesickness. Can't call it a cheese steak, but it'll do until I find my way back to the real thing.
