I'm drinking tea and watching Coffee And Cigarettes while my wife is sleeping next to me and our two cats snuggle one another on the bed. Between that and the hammer-fest I did on my commute home, I'm doing better.

Packing for a week back home in PHL for Thanksgiving and mucho parties. Tomorrow will be a blur of airports, typing to get work done on planes, dinners, catching up, and parties. Just trying not to forget my underwear and toothbrush.

Today I drove 8.5 hours from Toronto to NJ. Saw a total of three cop cars in Ontario, NY, and PA. Saw seven in NJ.

those buffalo/niagara cops love ontario plates. any time i'm driving through there, they've invariably pulled over some loaded down minivan likely on its way to Florida.

and 8.5 hours? that's seems really fast.

My wife does the drive in 7 hours! 8.5 is me doing around 80 the whole way. No Ontario plates yet, long story. Probably the only car in NJ with snow tires on right now...

I had planned to do a 2 hr ride but i got drunk and ate excessive amounts of food yesterday instead. We had a company potluck at noon and started drinking then; it pretty much turned into a **** show and now I have to come in to work over the long holiday break because your boy over here didn't do any more work after lunch. The party continued at my parents house with more food, drink and jamming with some (professional) bass player and drummer friend of theirs who came over. so good. we did a killer version of stolen moments.

Then I went out to the bar with a couple friends. lol

today is looking like moar of the same. yay
/trainingfailurestatus

rest weeks ftw!

Also +1 on all the happy thanksgiving comments. Make sure you eat and drink enough to feel disgusting after and super motivated to ride. That's the direction that im headed.

Today I'm at school because Costa Rica doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. My girlfriend is going to make me dinner tonight though so that should be good. I really miss all my family and can't wait to be back.

Tomorrow morning I fly out for Cuba. I'll be staying in a hostel in Havana for a week. There is no access to the web other than email (and even that is monitored) in the country so I'll be off bike forums for a while. I'm debating whether or not I want to get my passport stamped. I hear it makes it a pain in the ass whenever you go in/out of the US if they see a Cuba stamp and you don't have your letter of permission.

Today I'm sitting at work, by myself, 8am to 6pm. Hooray for computer equipment that has to be babysat 24/7/365. At least I get to watch movies while I'm here.

And somehow my family is meeting for ThanksGV tomorrow; they planned it before even knowing that I had to work today. Works perfectly.

Me too!

Today I started what was supposed to be a 5-6 hour ride. 2 hours, one flat and one broken spoke later, I'm back home.

I'm at work. My parents are having Thanksgiving lunch party instead of dinner and my girlfriend's family is waiting until Saturday, so I cant even have her bring me stuff for lunch. Poop. gonna have a improvised dinner with my co-workers tonight.

Ride to work was fantastic though, I was chilling the whole way with almost zero cars and red lights the whole ten miles. I took the hilly route, stopped to buy a bag of coffee beans and got a free cup'o'joe with it, rode a couple miles no hands while drinking said coffee, and still made it on time. On top of it all the air is nice and cool. Best commute in a long time

sweet, the boss is out for the day. It's going be chill today.

So, just got a call from the guy who bought my bike.
His RD got sucked into his rear wheel and broke the chainstay/RD/hanger/cables/housing.

I ask details, he was out climbing to see how it shifted cause he just "tuned it up."

Sounds like someone doesn't know how to set a limit screw. I explain how it couldn't be my fault, and how I would try to get the frame warrantied. I would also do all the work when the time comes.

sheesh, happy thanksgiving.
