Today I attempted to festive500 but the one time I forget my multitool my post slips. I had to stand and pedal all the way home. Plus it was cold as ****.

Had a good bike ride with my girls. 6 total miles, 50 degrees, overcast, no crazy wind. First 3mi had a few stops for snack and play. Came back 3mi non stop, took 28 minutes. Didn't think my 6yo had it in her but she did well

Today my son (20) wanted to go for a ride with his old man, so we did a lazy 22km. Cycling to him is a form of enforced transport ( his sport is soccer where he plays in the local semi-pro league) so I'm particularly chuffed that he wants to do this from time to time.
i had replaced my gfs dead car battery in the morning, and everyone was happy
went to run errands and some yahoo sideswipes her car at a toll plaza in jersey busting off her mirror, and bugs out on me as if he wasnt the one trying to force us out of the lane
people man, why?

That article, while based in truth, is a work of satire.

Today was the first time I almost crapped myself on my fixed gear, got up to ~30mph and felt like I was gonna get thrown off the bike. Scary stuff.

I got that from the site's header, but this piece had me wondering. And when I looked it up, he really is an ******* about the subject. He said that if a cyclist gets killed on the road, its their own fault, because the roads were built for cars, trucks, and busses. So that satire is an exaggeration, but its really not that far off the mark for the guy.

today i ordered a fantom cross uno from bike island! i was planning on getting one from bikes direct in january but happened to check bike island today and saw one in my size for $70 less (plus a little wear and tear). only concern i have is that even after i ordered, it still shows up on their website. hopefully no one actually grabbed it before me...
have fun with it. i ride a Nature Boy, but i got to see a FCU in person and i'd be glad to ride the heck out of it.
