Had my first pedal strike this morning @ about 18mph. Technically it was the edge of my foot, which I suppose is the reason it was far less violent than it could have been.

In the past month, I have ridden to work every day, plus weekend rides of 64, 45, and 106 miles. And I've gained 2 lbs. WTF, sigh.
Unless you're eating way more than you should be, it's probably fine.

Have you tightened the crap out of your cranks? Last time I had clicking in the vicinity of my bb it was from slightly loose crank arms.

This is why I normally don't weigh myself. I don't need to lose weight, and it just makes me neurotic about food and stuff. But there's this scale in the fitness center locker room at the office, and it's hard not to step on it once in a while. So I do and then I spend a day being grumpy. Time to go get a salad for lunch.

I found a pile of old nintendo games on the street while commuting. Totally took them all thanks to my rack.

Better skip or go light on the dressing and/ or hold back on the condiments you add to it too or the salad cancels itself out...

Yeah my wife criticized my "man" salad last week.

Yesterday I took my 12-year-old daughter out for a (90-degree, high humidity, morning) training ride in anticipation of a (mini-)triathlon we're doing together next month. She amazed me by surviving my 20+ mile training loop, when I had suggested we cut it off at 7.5 miles ... insisted we keep going and finish the longer loop. No problems. Triathlon, watch out!

After picking up some burgers and biking home with them for some reason my Timbuk2 bag became comfortable. I think it had something to with the food acting like a hot pad for my back... Then the shake in the bottle holder (bad idea, I know -.-) had a crack and spilt everywhere.

I ended up standing on the side of the path looking like a total freak just standing there drinking a shake while my bike lay against a bush.

haha when i had mine a couple of weeks back, i was going pretty fast too. Turned the corner too sharply and literally just flew off my bars and landed a good distance from my bike. It was surprisingly fun.

Reminds me of when I didn't have a bike lock and walked inside the burger place with my front wheel

ALSO

Does anybody have any experience with Bikesonline.com?
I ordered my saddle on the 8th and these jokers STILL have not gotten off their asses to get it to the UPS. They claim to send their things within 2-3 business days but I got mine sent on the fifth business day. I looked at the tracking number today and UPS still doesn't say it has received anything... Today, I sent those clowns an angry e mail.... Good thing though, Finished an 8 hour shift andI got my classes paid for and my financial aid sent out

Did you melt after you hit the ground? I almost died riding home in this 98 degree heat with high humidity

Took it easy today... got into a fight with a garbage bin on Saturday night (it is complicated) and think I was lucky to come away with some serious bone bruises but there will be a rematch... will be bringing a sledge hammer as an equalizer.

Bikes: Bike Count: Rising.

Today, I threw down on the mtb @ the pumptrack, but took a spill on a bmx bike while exiting the pumptrack.

I'm ok though, got some scrapes on my right knee, but luckily no bleeding.

Today I put on a spare set of drops I had laying around. It's hard to say whether I like drops or bullhorns better so it's nice to be able to switch back and forth.

It might just be me being ignorant, but what is that cursive thing? I swear I've seen it before.

I just put together my cannondale track. I'm going for a ride now, it'll be my first time riding it and a cannondale track. Grand mighty crankset, super lap BB, and SDVC66's wrapped in my favorite gp2000's; I have a great feeling about this.

posted this in what appears to be a dead thread

today I..

picked up an allen wrench with more leverage because I'm having problems removing my left crank arm on my omniums. Was fairly simply last time I did it (using shop tools they let me use), but may have tightened it too much to try and get rid of the dreaded clicking sound most of you are aware of by now. Any suggestions for removing these without damaging anything
