Today I was a marshal and partial leader for a LACBC ride. I have never had to lead a ride of about 30+ people through city streets but everything turned out well. I also decided to use an adapter to go threadless on my Panasonic. Sometimes I can't stand quill stems.

Street rider 02-10-13 08:51 AM

Today I'm hungover. And I have my first of two soccer games in a few hours. And, the girl that I like gave me a ride home, and was hanging out here, until I threw up. So she gave me a glass of water, and went home. I am disappoint in self. Probably won't play Edward 40 hands again for a while.

Nagrom_ 02-10-13 09:50 AM

Schweeeet. I might score some Avid Shorty 4's for 20 bucks.

Scrodzilla 02-10-13 10:12 AM

Today my entire body aches from shoveling between knee and waist-deep snow all day yesterday. This is definitely our last winter here.

misskaz 02-10-13 10:28 AM

I'm so jealous of your snow, scrod! We've had some snow, which turned into slush, which froze into ice, and which is now melting as it rains. YUCK.

Nagrom_ 02-10-13 10:29 AM

It's hard for me to look at snow like that, because the only time I see snow, is when I'm on vacation.

This storm totally left a bad taste in my mouth too. I just finished rescuing my car.

Mumonkan 02-10-13 12:20 PM

I might be the only person in the northeast that enjoys shoveling

Does that make me a masochist?

gregjones 02-10-13 12:35 PM

Isn't it supposed to be in the forties up there the first part of the week???

Won't that melt the snow**********?

Screw shoveling.......I'd just wait, drink beer and make obnoxious posts 'til it runs down the gutter.

unfortunately, if you don't shovel it, all that melted snow will end up in your basement

Jaytron 02-10-13 01:46 PM

Today I met up with my coach to get a bike fit.

Good news: It was free

Bad news: It was free because he couldn't dial me in on my current bikes (too small). Not having a huge gut anymore, and being able to bend forward is a thing.

Indirect good news: I get to buy new bikes. ICANHAAV 10?!?!

Look at the pics I just posted in the RG thread. You can't just sit around and wait for three feet of snow to melt.

Phoenix doesn't even exist as a real place to me because I hated every second in that wasteland of a city.

I'd rather have the beach, year round - which is why we're moving to San Diego after this coming summer.

GENESTARWIND 02-10-13 02:19 PM

so true... i spent about 5 years in that ****hole, hated every minute of it. the people the weather the scenery.

I enjoy it, makes a great upper body workout.
Today I put a good 50 miles in and am making homemade sausage patties at the moment.

yummygooey 02-10-13 04:49 PM

Nagrom_ 02-10-13 05:35 PM

I'm back to debating where my wife and I wanna move. I'm leaning toward SoCal, but she's leaning toward either ATX or PDX.

Easy. Compromise between the two and move to the bay area. :)

Somewhere warmer and sunnier, huh?

I've never been to Portland or SoCal, but I've lived in Austin before and it's great. Crazy hot during the summer, but that's about the only negative.

yummygooey 02-10-13 07:27 PM

Today I finally signed a lease for Seattle. Dude is giving me a free bike rack too. Woot!

yummygooey 02-10-13 07:30 PM

LesterOfPuppets 02-10-13 07:51 PM

Today I got more non-clipless pedals in Portland. Did not get rained on. Seemed strange cuzza that detail.
