The subway stations are probably disgusting right now. Imagine how many rats are floating around.

Bikes: All of them

Mapped a relatively intense (1600 meters of climbing) but gorgeous 200k loop from my apartment to the Point Reyes lighthouse, that I hope to try some weekend soon before the weather gets too bad: https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/150148879

Took a ride around the 'hood to see what had happened, potentially take some aftermath pics. Besides some fallen leaves and branches, this area was relatively unscathed. Nothing interesting to take pictures of.

Considering ourselves lucky.

Also, seeing as the MetroNorth train is my only method of transport into the city for work, I'm pretty much unemployed until the MTA gets things up and running. Not amused.

same situation here, but replace angry w sad n lonely.

ironic part is that i ended it, after putting it off for too long. we lived together for 1.5 yrs and broke up like 2 months ago... i still feel a major loss at the end of the day and really whenever im alone and not riding.

hope you can find someone new to channel ur energy into and be positive.

i wanna find a good, attractive girl, take her out to dinner, give her extra special attention, then go home and have some extra special sex

over and over and over

That would all be amazing. But its only been a few weeks, so that stuff is down the road. After 3 years though, I know its going to take a while. And after reading the stuff that really pissed me off, all it did was reaffirm my knowledge in the fact that I'm the better person. And I'll be partying a bunch this weekend, so maybe I won't go home. Who knows.

What makes that last part easier is that she doesn't go to school here anymore, and she's 100 miles away. So that won't happen. And I've done the whole 'break up, get drunk, go get laid' thing a few times. While it feels pretty great at the time, I tended to feel pretty ****ty after. But, I guess **** it. And I always have friends around somewhere to make sure that I'm not texting or calling. They know how bad it can be, and they know what I'm going through. They've done it for me before, and I've done it for a few of them.

Pretty sure it's a tool wrap: fill pockets with tools, fold top over, roll up, attach to bottom of seat with Velcro or belt.

That kind of thing doesn't have to make you feel bad. I guess you have to have the right mindset, and make sure your hookup does too: two adults can have sexy fun together and it can be just that. A fun night. It doesn't have to fix you or mean anything (or not mean anything) or make you feel bad or make you feel better, it can just be fun. Like riding a roller coaster or going for a bike ride. It just happens to have that other person involved. Human touch is healing if you take the right attitude about it. Also drinking is ok but make sure you're not both totally ****faced.

Good luck Street rider and Tmonk. It gets better.

I agree. Don't get too attached, cuz it tends to **** everything up. Have fun, and let it be just fun.

Got hit. ******* left hooked me when he had red and I had green. Just clipped the rear wheel. Didn't fold it, but it's pretty out of true, my nice winter tights are ripped, and my new NiteRider MiNewt 250 went flying and broke. A friend works at a bar near the accident, so I'm having a beer (or three) to calm myself.

So what the hell happened? Did he/she drive off or did they take responsibility?
