Today my sickness has evolved. Still stuffy, although not as bad as yesterday. Whats worse is the fever like symptoms, and the headache that I've had since last night when I woke up at 4 am and couldn't sleep because of it. This **** sucks hard.
Wife got a new job. Between her new salary and mine, we will be back in the same tax bracket we were before the big switch. Good times.

Today I still have 31 of these left after my Doctor Who season premiere viewing party:

Recipe here. They are as good, no, better than you are imagining.

Expendables 2: fun, mindless, better than the first. the budget for HGH, hair appliances, Icy Hot and foundation makeup must have been staggering.
dry rub strip steak, steamed asparagus and a nice cotes du rhone for dinner.
out to walk the dog and then back to the garage to finish installing Paul's Neo Retro Cantis on the Nature Boy.

Today I had brunch at "Diner" in BK with a friend I've know for a quarter of a century and don't see nearly enough (trout, eggs, bacon and roast tomatoes/two vodka tonics), fed and played with my g/f's cats (she's away in Maine) and spent an hour under the Brooklyn/Queens expressway trying to learn how to pull off a quality track stand (only 30+ seconds so far, but I think I'm starting to feel the back and forth). Now it's beer o'clock and off to see Sunn 0))). They're playing at this Polish bar here in Greenpoint where they've got Zwikl beer, teenage Polish bar maids and little old Polish ladies serving food in the back. Black metal, good beer, kilbasa and Pierogies - does it GET any better???
ETA: I'm not one to pimp my own bike gang (too much, anyway) but my girl has seriously impressed me with this post. Wanna know how to fix the blown out crotch in like all of your jeans? Check this ****.

Bikes: A growing pile of them.
Repaired an old brooks lookalike. Still have to fine tune it, but it looks completely different than it did when I peeled it off a le tour at the bike library. Wish I took a picture, it looked like cardboard.
today i literally had to scale a fence to get out of campus after work. (10 pm) Apparently "gate open untill 12:30 am" is a rough estimate.
Today I realized how stretched my chain was when. Was riding home and I noticed a ton of noise. I put it next to another chain and stuck a skewer through the first link and after a foot it was almost 1/4 inch longer. My chainring looks slightly worn but it has for A long time, I replaced the chain with a slightly less used chain for the time being and it feels brand new.
I think I want to go back to riding bullhorns but I want an break lever but I can't source one locally.
Is it jack ass to use an aero lever on the underside of a bullhorn?

That place is a bar right? I always wanted to try pierogis but don't know where to get em.
Drove home after a great weekend of camping and fishing in the mountains, also practiced a lot of Irish yoga. Big ride tomorrow... Hope to knock down a century despite not being in the best of shape.

today i knocked out a 30 mile night ride with a friend and finally got to use my new bib shorts. it wasn't a huge ride but i could already tell that these are gonna make a huge difference.
I love being on my bike now I remember just 9 months ago i could barely ride a mile around my neighborhood and i weighed 88lbs heavier. As cheesy as it may sound fixed gear riding helped me change my life.
