Today I am waiting at YEG for my flight to leave and came in early on the shuttle as I was not planning on sleeping anyways and the early shuttle would have cut things too close for comfort.
Will be having brunch in PDX tomorrow and enjoying the company of my girlfriend and fiancee for a week... after that I will get to enjoy the company of my wife. They are all the same person... :) Just ordered a Timmy's and might have to play a little Minecraft to entertain myself here. |
That's nice to hear sixty! Both you getting wed and playing minecraft! By god I'm hooked to that game LOL
|
Leuky... Got the game for my daughters and really enjoy it myself... it should make the time pass a little faster.
Have been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time... I have an amazing partner. |
That's nice to hear; best of wishes from here ;)
You should also try mods out and the mountains of user submitted work at planet minecraft in case you get bored. |

we started in seattle, ferry to bainbridge, road to port townsend (crossing the hood canal bridge via bike is a trip!) then ferried over to widbey, then road the down to the mukliteo ferry, then back down into seattle. such an awesome time. port townsend is amazing |

800mg Ibuprofen every 4 hours with food. That's what was prescribed to me when I did something similar. And by something similar I mean catching my collegiate cheerleader girlfriend when practicing stunts because I was jealous of her partner looking up her skirt all day.

Today I took a spill while on the mtb .

DIY
5 min. epoxy is a great filler for the holes left by ATAC cleats. cleat adjustment, yay! |

today I bought a piece of crap track frame off craigslist. no idea what the brand was but came with everything but a wheelset, chain and saddle for $85. It's a pretty purple so will either sell it to a girl~friend at cost or find a cheapass wheelset and finish it (have a saddle and chain in my box)

Today I pulled the trigger. Somewhere in Arizona a neon orange Dawes Deadeye has my name on it. In other news, people on craigslist are swarming my old mtb like none other. A lot of places have a hipster tax on track frames. In the PNW we have a hippie tax on mountain bikes.

Today I had one of those random days at work where you just want to throw all your work on the wall and stomp out all the while screaming obscenities, charlie sheen style. Anyhow, I ended up totally messing around the entire day while mass transferring back up files that I've acquired down here to my mac pro server back home which has been in sleep mode for the past 3 months; gotta love osx WoL from a 3 month dormancy and university fiberoptic internet.
But the following bicycle ride and dinner out with my wife brought me back down to earth. Best part was when my wife surprised me with bianchi celeste painted nails. |

Went for a short ride this evening and made a nice light dinner and am just about ready to call it a day here. |
Got the Raleigh almost back together.

Today, i took my Fixed Gear COMPLETELY apart bottom bracket and all, and painted it. now its in the local bike shop for re assembly (dont have the tools to do it myself) and a tune up. cant wait to pick it up tomorrow!
|
Wow, I let my bike dry and cure for a week before I reassembled it.. Be careful not to scratch it.
|
I helped a guy assemble his Super Pista with ****ty wheels, $5 tires, and a riser bar with Oury grips :notamused:
It kinda felt like the thing with Carleton and Prolly. At least it was fun to handle that frame and see it up close. I can't believe I was ready to pull the trigger on one of these a several months ago, **** |

Had an interview for an unpaid internship. Pretty sure I self-sabotaged it just to avoid the unpaid part. Planning on going riding regardless of how **** it is outside today.

How did you take your bike apart without very same tools required to put it back together?

did a uber mini tour of some of the small towns in my surrounding area. Waldo, Hampton, Keystone Heights, Melrose, Hawthorne, and finally back to Gainesville. 66.0 miles total. Didn't have a computer, but it felt like I was doing about 17.5mph the first half to conserve energy. Ate two muffins and a scone and drank some coffee in Melrose, and picked up the pace on the way home. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery... too bad I was all alone. It was kind of peaceful, but I love riding with friends. They all just think riding down the highway is crazy. :(
yes, on a geared bike |
i'm going on vacation... to Fresno, which doesn't seem like a vacation at all. i'm excited nonetheless
