sell ya a used sector 9 for $75

I just bought this to see how bad eBay boards really were (it was $35 shipped). This was pretty bad, the front holes were crooked so the front truck sat angled. I usually ride Churchill Manufacturing boards, I actually just ordered a new commuter board today (Churchill LTD)

that is pretty awful, its a wonder that companies that make such horrible boards havent been sued and put out of business

Why not a bustin? They're cheap enough. FWIW there's plenty of kiddies around here commuting on loaded.

I like Bustin boards, but to be honest, I wanted cheap and quality. Churchill is the Kilo TT of longboards.

Also for the "today I":
Took a vacation day and I'm headed to Mountain Creek to snowboard tomorrow. My 3rd time snowboarding, I need to get turning down, it is my nemesis.

+1
Love my mini maestro! Not really into the longboarding thing though, just use it as a cruiser.

I used to party with a few people who worked at creek, I'm not a snow person, I did ride a vintage road bike Down a mountain in the poco is before, on a grass ski slope in the summer, I had grass stains on my skin

seau grateau 01-22-13 11:19 PM

Today I scrolled past a bunch of posts about long boards.

just saying

I bought the car in 2004 and it's (obviously) fully paid off at this point. It was a luxury, at a time that I could afford luxury. Now it costs me like $30 a month for insurance (bundling with my homeowners insurance means it costs virtually nothing).

The credit card debt is recent as of my separation from my husband 6 months ago.

DAMN, YOU GUYS.

Looking forward to some bike time tomorrow. I've been out of town for work end of last week and beginning of this one. Times like this make me realize how much my bike commute keeps me sane. I feel so much better arriving at the office after the ride, and the ride home helps me to (mostly) forget about nonsense that happened at work. Taking the trains makes me sad, although Osaka trains are definitely better than Tokyo trains.

What'd I miss?

Edit: Ah. Bull**** and drama. Cool. Yeah, Chicago be full of drama playa.

Mumonkan 01-23-13 11:28 AM

Also forgot that pawls on the freewheel started to freeze a couple miles in, had to actively start coasting to keep it moving

Who knew?

Cynikal 01-23-13 11:32 AM

Today I turned 40 and I'm still trying to get my head around that. With that said, I'm heading out for a ride.

jimmytango 01-23-13 11:54 AM

Happy birthday, bud!

Scrodzilla 01-23-13 11:55 AM

Today I received a $400 Wound Up fork special ordered for a customer that has the dropouts installed facing the wrong way. :wtf:

/awesomeQC

jimmytango 01-23-13 12:03 PM

Nice.

hailandkill 01-23-13 12:03 PM

pretty sure wound up flip flops the dropout on their forks to change the rake, so it may look wrong

jdgesus 01-23-13 12:10 PM

Yeah, I think you're right. It's just weird because of all the forks I've ordered from them w/ various amounts of rake, this is the first one I've ever seen. I couldn't even find any pics on teh interwebz.
