Today I talked a bunch with my race team director and we figured out the goals and plans for the team. Then he asked me to captain our trackies. I am very very stoked.

I have one, I like it a lot. Great battery life and great price.

Today I went snowboarding, then saw Stone Sour & Papa Roach live at Terminal 5. Stone Sour is my jam.

Today I got a pro fit on the new Big Block. Raised the saddle to 155 degree leg extension, pushed the saddle back and lowered the stem to 40 degree hip extension. Cut the steerer tube and set the chain tension. Went out for a quick ride. I'm stoked, this bike is dialed in.

That pains me just thinking about it. Jeans? JEANS?

I do pretty well with a set of legwarmers under whatever I'm wearing. Bonus: I can take them off at work without fully stripping down.

Also, Kaz: That epic winter guide was informative and entertaining. Tell your little friend good job.

Today I woke up at 3:30AM convinced I was going to puke. Haven't yet, but stayed home from work. Hopefully I'm over it by tomorrow. Can't afford to miss two full days of work - I have a bike to build!

Oh whoops, those flat caps with the four or so holes (I'm going off the top of my head) don't have a tool supplied by MKS to work on them, I think a few of their pedals have these (the RX-whatevers do, I know). I think you just have to use a nail or something else pointy to pry it out. Kinda a pain.

i rode 3 hrs this morning. I felt really good this morning.

Just motorin' around. Starting to feel a little strong for the first time since b4 the drunkenness and debauchery that was the holidays this (last) year.

It was like 65 and drizzly the whole time; it felt good on my skin. Short sleeves, wind vest. Motorin'.
I ran into some friends that I met at the track last year in the latter half of my ride. We were on a similar route so I rode with them for like 10 min. It was kewl.

I ended up putting a chisel through the cap near the indent and pried them out with a flat-blade screwdriver. Now they're trashed, but still functional with a judicious application of epoxy. The pedals were some old MKS AR-8's, not exactly in high demand right now.

Bikes: good ones.

All this cold-weather commuting talk is making me feel better. It's 11 miles to campus and I have been freezing my jimmies off. I feel like I made a big step in not buying a parking pass this semester, so I'm forced to ride or at the very least ride to the train.

Kayce, there's been talk about spoked putting together a team. Lot of us pack guys are doing that. Join us

This is amazing. So much lolling. Especially at the non-cyclist things, because 98% of my friends have no idea what I do, or have any interest in bikes.

Levi's Commuter 511's over tights is my jam in winter.

Rode around after work today. Total of about 40 miles. Rad.

Today I drove the Focus ST and MS3 again. The Focus has a great engine, imo, but handling just wasn't there for me. It felt... "wobbly" in the steering wheel coming out of turns? I'm not sure what that means (don't know much about cars). For the MS3, power kicks in kind of late but I think it handles nicely.

I ruled out the WRX based on initial price and insurance cost (so ridic). I just don't think AWD is worth the extra $4k up front (based on the new quote I got for the MS3 today) plus 5x the monthly insurance cost.

I might try out a GTI and a FRS just to compare, but I doubt I'll go with either cuz 2 doors.

Cars man why lol.
