Nan,
Unless you are doing some serious serious long distance touring there is no reason to have a spoke wrench on your mutli-tool. Nice ones are cheap, and its almost always an at home job. |

i think there is little reason NOT to carry a spoke wrench and a chain tool in your saddle bag on a training ride
...just like there is little reason not to run a front brake on your fixie WHOOPS! jkjkjkjk.... |

Today I found someone's lost bowl on the ground on the way to Starbucks. LA is funny.

Today I decided that whey protein is no longer part of my diet.

Today I put in a fun ride in on the dmr.

Today I went to a talk about coprolites. I sat there for an hour listening to a guy talk about fossilized ****, and how important it is to tracking the movement of people of different racial origins. And went and bought the new earpods for my phone since my right earbud decided to just stop working. My mic/remote still work fine, just the earbud itself. Good thing these new ones have a much nicer design/shape to them.

Break a rear spoke while on a ride without a spoke wrench? Miles and miles of *whump...*whump...*whump...*whump... as your badly out of true wheel flops around. Break a rear spoke with a spoke wrench? Use it to adjust the tension on the surrounding spokes and ride home just like nothing happened. I've actually used the spoke wrench on the Crankbros M19 to do the above. Had to have the bike upside down in the parking lot of a BrandsMart but it worked. Even had a teammate use it during a race for the same reason. He was on a geared bike and couldn't open the rear caliper enough to keep the rim from rubbing. Two minutes with the spoke wrench and we were back in action. Why wouldn't you want to carry something so small, useful and lightweight? |
On my new fangled nexus 7.

oh you can bet i'll be bragging my ass off once it's done, and the idea is to keep it reasonably priced because us off-the-bell-curve sized people often have to go spendy custom. of course you can always keep an eye on the tiny fix twitter, facebook, website, or tumblr. ;)

I prefer whole grain to whole protein. I have no real dietary secrets, I just listen to what my body needs.
