Today was a blustery 40 mile ride.

Mumonkan 12-22-12 08:33 PM

Today the bffs had a christmas party, everyone made their own pizza:

mole, chorizo, & mexican cheese

Leukybear 12-22-12 08:59 PM

Yours is the most decent one there

Dannihilator 12-22-12 09:01 PM

Yeah, was the one that made the most effort.

Dannihilator 12-22-12 09:03 PM

How did you get the cat to stay still for that?

Nagrom_ 12-22-12 09:04 PM

It's a cat. They just sorta do that.

Dannihilator 12-22-12 09:09 PM

Mine doesn't stay still.

Nagrom_ 12-22-12 09:09 PM

I guess that rug was just really interesting. That, or your cat is broken.

Mumonkan 12-22-12 09:10 PM

To be fair mine was the only one completed at the time of the pic

gfs was fresh mozz, tomato & avocado cubes
koch was sauce, mozz, sliced jalapeno and pineapple
amandas was vodka sauce, prosciutto and mozz
gregs was sauce mozz, sliced chorizo and olives

all were fantastically delicious

Dannihilator 12-22-12 09:11 PM

Mine's just active/hyper.

LesterOfPuppets 12-22-12 09:11 PM

Most cats I've had would start twitching their back as soon as you put the first one on, then give you the stink eye by the time the third was placed, probably want a piece of your hand by the time you got the 5th one on.

Nagrom_ 12-22-12 09:15 PM

My cat is too much of a ham bone.

now full of hot soup and cellar temp beer, trying to pick out a bad 70's movie to watch with my sweety.

That sounds ****ing wonderful.

3 mile ride with my 2 girls today (8 & 5), averaged 4mph and made a few stops to play. I think my 8yo would be okay to take on longer rides but I'm not sure about my 5yo yet. Might be easier for them with bigger bikes, and I have a feeling Santa will be getting them new ones :)

europa 12-22-12 11:07 PM

Just rode to my fiancee's place and back. Only 4 km but it's summer here and it's 39C - that's 102 in your money and with a short 10% climb on the way there and a long 6% on the way back, I'm wondering why I'm sweating :twitchy:

Wonder what snow's like, we don't get the stuff here.

As I've found with my 11 year old, they're more interested in fun than distance - as soon as it starts to hurt, it's not fun. A track with play grounds and a picnic at the turn around work for my little monster :thumb:

I love riding with the family though, I even drag the dog along in his trailer :D

Dannihilator 12-22-12 11:19 PM

What I'm watching atm.

im trying to get them ready for a round trip of 6 miles. Unfortunately the 3 mile ride to where im trying to go doesn't have any play areas to stop :/

i would bring my dog but she's a 90lbs lab that is winded after half a mile. I have no trailer :( I would throw my 5yo in it, she would get a kick out of it

The young man on the right rode with us for the first time in several years. He started his riding career with us when he was 11 on a Wal-Mart Schwinn his grandma bought for him. He's now 17 and riding with the Garmin Junior team.

He said he didn't want to take his helmet off because he had a terrible case of helmet hair. :roflmao2:

I ended up with 43 miles for the day. Everyone else was in their spandex riding geared bikes. I was in jeans, riding my fixie.

I just bought a cheap kiddie trailer off eBay. You'd barely notice your lab in it unless you hit a hill. Sometimes though, it's easier to leave the mutt home, not because he's trouble ( he's not) but more because it's just one more thing to worry about. Of course, I could take the dog and leave the kids home
