Same school of thought as load bearing decals. MTB discussion forum jargon. Santa Cruz Bicycles had a powdercoat color option called rootbeer that they had for select frames, hence the does it come in rootbeer... Anything overbuilt that gets posted someone will say Looks flexy and some one else would follow by asking if it comes in rootbeer.

good to know, hahaha.

My 722 started off as a sw8 beater.

It'll get there eventually.

GENESTARWIND 02-06-13 11:08 PM

today i am fixed gear again, even though i dont have straps or clips it is definitely good to be back :) went out and played around. even did a track stand again and stopped without the brakes, SOOOOOOOOO GOOD. Until my pedals get here im running without foot retention but ive two brakes and i work about 1.5 miles from my apt so being careful i believe ill be fine.

Drop bar MTBs rule. I had to 700c my Team Marin cuz one of rear canti studs has piece of brake arm sleeve stuck on it. Laced Mavic MA rim to LX hub for my rear wheel. Hoping to free up that canti stud some day...

At least it was positive.

Lady in front of the Chinese spot:
"How old is he?" (Referring to my dog)
"4"
"He looks like a good boy"
That was as I am practically choking him to pull him away from a chicken bone he's trying to pick up.
People are weird.

Why do you have two stems on that bike? Maybe you could mount a handlebar bag, or something.

I promise my intent is not to be a dick, but you received a tax refund after filing your tax return.

Just cuz I had not enough spacers. I tried to think of something useful to do with the extra but drew a blank. Now it's all spacers, still a work in progress.

Hoping to get one of those VO tallstack stems (or whatever they call them) when I get the dough. Would like many more silver bits on bike.

Today it's 12ish° with the wind. What was the point of getting cold weather gear if i'm not going to use it? Amirite?

Just did 38miles, can't feel my

Nagrom_ 02-07-13 11:33 AM

A coyote 4? by Research Dynamics (RD) Looked into a little. It's apparently a ski company that got into MTB's for about 10 years back in the late 80's early 90's. They made some good stuff it looks like.

striknein 02-07-13 01:34 PM

It ain't handsome like ol' Dick, that's for sure.
