Here is what they shipped two tires in. Literally only thing in the box was two tires and 78 feet of butcher paper. Small annoying ass dog for size reference. This shipped for free from Kentucky, 2nd day air UPS, on a 33 dollar purchase.

I'm not an environmentalist or anything like that, but holy **** that's wasteful.

Thats just dumb, imagine yourself unrolling that much paper for anything, it mustve taken a solid 10 minutes

Nagrom_ 02-13-13 03:06 PM

I can't imagine what it cost to actually ship.

Amazon did this to me too. Both times I've ever ordered a non - folding tire from them.

Today I checked my fedex shipping tracker for my shoes. Originally said it would be here Saturday, Now says next Tuesday. The package is already in Michigan for christ's sakes. Hopefully that thing is wrong, and I'll get them this week. Really excited.

Today I sent in my deposit for a frame bulding class. Can't wait until April.

striknein 02-13-13 05:52 PM

Took apart my Deerhead RD and polished it up, along with a pair of canti's.

I could have gone shinier but it would have taken like a half hour. This'll do for now.

GENESTARWIND 02-13-13 07:29 PM

Today I wound up commuting in, and have a bad feeling a new frame might be in the future.

Awesome! Which program was it? I know there is a place in Oakland (I think) that has a frame building class. You have to take two prerequisite welding classes, though.

Thats a good feeling :)

Adrian_ 02-13-13 08:09 PM

Not if you're attached to the frame being replaced.

Not when you really like the frame you have, I feel sick let's just say I had to repair the drive side dropout.
Don't know how it happened.
It should be ok, was the first time that has happened to it, and you're generally good for a couple of times.

The 930 is a goner?

Dannihilator 02-13-13 08:24 PM

It's still ticking, I was able to repair it at work, and held up without the wheel slipping on the ride home.

LesterOfPuppets 02-13-13 08:34 PM

999 Emergency!

Today I CX tired the Silver Bullet. That bike's so tall now I can't reach the ground.

I'm certain I've got it resolved, and am not as worried.

Hooray for that. Any idea how many miles you've put that thing through since buying it?

I'm going through Tim Sanner in PaloAlto. This is basically testing the waters to see if I want to get serious about it.
