my first single speed

Looking to purchase my first single speed, and have a budget of about 400-600 dollars.. thing is im based in Toronto and the prices seem to skyrocket here despite the strong canadian dollar..

At present i am looking at the following options

the Norco Heart and the KHS Urban Soul both at 400 and the SE Draft $499

would love some reviews and suggestions.. i know these threads are annoying but if there is any helpful people who could impart their knowledge, lemme know

any consideration to the kilo TT? it's under $400 and a pretty good bike in the range (I like it more than the KHS and Norco). I'm also pretty sure you can get a SE Draft online in the 250 range at nashbar

i'll look into that, is there a good thread here to get to grips with the main issues when buying a single speed, i wouldnt mind getting into the upgrade, customizing side of things neither, so a bike that is worth improving might be a good way to go as well.

Depending on the price that Rush Hour will be the best bet of all the suggestions. Quality parts in Sugino cranks, Brooks Swift, and other smaller bits over the generic OEM parts you'll find on our the other bikes you listed. Nothing I can see that you'll want/need to upgrade later on other than some preference items like maybe pedals or handlebars.
