For shame. You don't deserve your pinarello.

How recently did you do it (like, hours or days?) You might be able to unwrap the bar tape and start over again, although if it's cork or foam I'd be careful for fear of tearing it. Bar tape isn't that hard, I've done it for drops with hoods and today just did it for bullhorns. Just take your time. Watch some YouTube videos beforehand if you need to. Next time do a dry fit first to get a handle on the trouble spots and gauging the spacing/overlap.

did it on Sunday, and i watched and watched and thought that's simple...the problem for me came when i was transitioning from the lower part of the drop to the top...i end up shorter than the other side etc. I'm using the stella eleganze stiched one w/ perforated on one side and smooth on the other.

I may give it another whirl tonight to see if i can salvage it.

Nice, I used this ravx perf/smooth stuff which I'm sure is similar. Good luck on the retry!

That kind of bar tape shouldn't tear when you unwrap it, so you can try again several times. Actually, pretty much any bar tape can be unwrapped and rewrapped indefinitely except for foam and cork.

+

They'll probably have your favorite color too. Plus ribbed for extra grip.

EDIT: went back out to the garage while the wife was on the trainer spinning away on her new bike. I wrestled with the Stella tape and won! Looks much better and covers the right amount. Man i must have been asleep when i did it the first time
