everything that could go wrong went wrong.
it looked like a good time. but i missed out, my disorganized team disintegrated, and i showed up to the starting line at 1:15. with my guys still in san rafael. joel was real nice at south park, and he tried to help out, but there's no team relay without a team.
ah well, though- we went for a rad long ride up and down the embarcadero, along the coast, under the bridge, over the presidio, right by the abandoned hospital, and down to american cyclery. and the really nice girl asked how the race went.
my dudes went home, and i went to zeitgeist that night to have a beer. and who was there? all the guys from the race. it sounded like they had a good time.
and the next time there's a race in s.f. (before february, hopefully), count me in.

Wow official results, cool. I could have sworn more teams came in after us, oh well. At least we got some schwag, some didn't, and true, it was one of the funnest $5 ever spent.
All told, it wasn't too bad riding fixed although the winning teams all rode geared (some pretty high-end gears at that).
