I just found this https://www.blackbirdsf.org/bcrc.html.
Anyone in SF/Bay Area planning on doing this relay?
I'm not sure if it's for messengers only either.

1) don't know three other people who i'd like to race with as team mates
2) don't know my way around SF very well
3) have to work weekends now
4) meh...december just isn't december unless there's a layer of dirty gross slush covering the street.

Downtown's not too bad, it's mostly flat but getting out to Lake Merced may involve hills. Maybe not too many if you go Valencia to outer Mission area then cut over via a south (i.e. flatter) route. It'd probably be faster than trying to go over Market/Portola or around to GG Park. That's what maps are for

Now if the "SF Roll Call Ride" would get enough people together we could have Team BF!

I can handle the hills, it's the geography that's gonna kill me. ****, read it... the instructions are deliberately wicked for a city dweller, how are a marinite and an eastbayer gonna do?

those instructions aren't that wicked. just find routes to and from all of those spots ahead of time and everything'll be copacetic.

i just worry about being out there alone.

getting from lake merced out to heron's head might be tricky...or from heron's head to lake merced.

Evans to Army to Mission to San Jose to Sagamore to Brotherhood way to Lake Merced Blvd.

Sounds doable, no?

It's like this map but without the trip onto I-280.

Are we still in? I know OneTinSloth has backed out (wuss), but are 46 and BlastRadius still on the team? We need one more...
