you guys just made me realize I just have the itch to upgrade.

Nothing is wrong with my current hubs and tbh wasnt really looking to accomplish anything. Im slowly building up my bolt and wheel set came up on the list. I just use it for riding solo or going to group rides.

Pistards are not spectacular. You're most likely making a horizontal move if you choose to "upgrade"... A better plan would be to save for a better set.

Should I put 175mm cranks on my fixie? I'm 6'3, I like longer cranks. I have an extra 175 laying here, but I'm not sure if I'm going to pedal strike...
46/16 Gearing, 27" wheels

Should I: 17 degree stem and slammed (will not be able to use my Suzue bell) or 6 degree stem and taller steer tube (~30mm spacers, can use bell)?

Just put the bell on your gigantic handlebars and use whatever stem you want.

Calv - why are you trying to make your Kagero look like a mountain bike?

Should I swap from cages/straps over to SPD's for my bikes?

Looking at some of the DZR's casual-esque SPD shoes and they don't look too awful, just wondering if they are going to be flimsy or a waste of money?

For reference

I think it's worth it. The Chrome shoes I use don't really go clickity-clack or anything when walking, and I like how SPD's feel better than clips and straps.

Do they flex a lot when lifting up or when you skid?

Still better than clips/straps.

I used DZR's in the past... Pretty stiff for what they are. Cant' compete with a full blown road shoe though.

EDIT: Damn, I missed the shaved leg convo.
