If you buy that then perhaps you'll have enough dough to drop the price on your Spinergy?

But they'd go together perfectly!

As for track use, I would be pretty embarrassed to show up with that to a beginners class.

@entrymax - If you're positive you can get your money back, go for it. Back up your game saves though.

I agree; however, I think a disc and lolergy is crossing the line in terms of tarck...

calv 11-23-11 10:15 PM

Kagero. Black components on top, silver on the bottom? I think it'd look better than silver wheelset with black sugino 75 cranks, but I'm afraid my bike will turn out like this.

Scrodzilla 11-23-11 10:18 PM

Leave it to iMinusD.

This:

Silver rims, silver spokes, black hubs, black nipples, silver crankset w/ black chainring, silver seatpost, silver stem, black bars (only because you're set on using Wing Pros). Done.

Fixed, I like the idea of black nipples ().

Thanks! Now,

Should I be crazy and just order everything in one go and go homeless?

Should I... http://www.chromebagsstore.com/bags/...lin---pro.html

With 20% off, this might be more of a "going to" than a "should I".

calv 11-24-11 03:03 PM

Sometimes Chrome does 50% off. Might want to wait for one of those deals? 20% is pretty average. I was actually a bit disappointed that they chose 20% for Black Friday, but then again, cheaper is cheaper.

Silver stem with black cap and black spacers, black HS works for me, too. At least 5mm spacer above. Don't ask me why, just works for me.

Since my wife found - and I purchased - http://www.fujibikes.com/bike/details/feather-cx-usa (Merry Christmas to her, I finally found a bike she likes!!!!So I blew half my budget on her)

So I have a budget that can afford either
http://surlybikes.com/bikes/karate_monkey (This would be a replacement to my 2009 I sold)

Do you understand how big the Berlin is? AT the SF store they had one with 2 32 cases of beer in it, side by side. No one should need a bag that big, and if you do panniers would be more comfortable.

12 liters over the Metropolis, the Metro is huge already. The Berlin would make me look like a 5' person with a Metro

New Rival group minus cassette/chain/cables for $500?

The cheapest I've seen elsewhere is $610 shipped, no cables.

I'm not sure if I should try my chances with the used market or just go for this deal.

Sherblock 11-24-11 08:40 PM

Go with the deal.

it sickens me how fixed/track parts are inflated. Rival is a good midrange to upper range group, and with a group set you get derailleurs, cranks, and shifters. Or, you could spend $100 on a Sugino 75 chainring.

Yes, that's why I want it.

Spend $165 on used silver Sugino 75 165mm crank arms and a classic Flite w/ Ti rails?

Sherblock 11-25-11 09:28 PM

Is it a reissue? And yes. I love my original Flite and I've never heard anything bad about 75 cranks.

No idea if it's a reissue, this is it but one probably can't tell if it is/isn't one.

No idea :p

TheRealFaux 11-25-11 10:44 PM

I had a Flite Alps before, MTB version of the Flite with the back edges cut out. It had vanadium rails though that were a bit soft and got chewed out easily. It was comfy though!

Scrodzilla 11-25-11 11:44 PM

One way you can tell is that the original had screenprinted logos and the reissues are heat transfer decals which have a small clear edge around the colors (and tend to wear off a little quicker). Aside from that, the reissues are very much the same.

Chad1376 11-26-11 10:44 AM

So I have a 2002 C-dale F-800 Frame (the Lefty fork rollers and races are rusted), a Nashbar carbon 'cross fork and boxes of miscellaneous parts. Should I build up a SS (maybe fixed?) 700c bastard 'cross bike. Maybe with drops, maybe with flat bars? I'm just kind of brainstorming right now. I've found a 1-1/2" to 1-1/8 headset and my biggest concern is whacky geometry. Hmmmmm.
