Would you be interested in selling it then?

Always thought the VO wheelsets were so classy
http://store.velo-orange.com/index.p...lset-700c.html No idea about weight (def not featherweight) but they look good |
FWIW Wabi Wheels are still an excellent choice.
|
have you considered open pros? you could use a front road hub for lighter weight and a low flange miche hub or something like that in the back

Just ran across a set of Mavic Ellipses on eBay. Starting bid 300, 'buy it now' 400. Should I carpe diem?
|
I think I saw the same set earlier today... If you really think you want them and you have the funds then go for it.
|
Order a Charge Spoon off of Universal Cycles or...
Wait for the WTB Vigo SLT Carbon saddle to hit bonktown again? OR... Order both and get a look of disdain and sigh of exasperation from my wife? |
Should I, get sweet tires for the Kilo, or just get cheap Vittoria Zaffiros...
Thickslicks aren't an option because they won't clear the brake calipers. :C |
Zaffiros aren't better than the stock Kilo tires, just use them till they are dead and order some nice tires from PBK.

How is PBK? I ordered a bib from them like two weeks ago and haven't gotten it, but I assume since they're in the UK it would take some time. |
Should I go clipless? Most of my riding is between classes on campus or going to nearby stores. Every now and then I take longer rides though. Can any clipless people relate? I thought about going clipless with a single strap so I could wear street shoes for <1 mile campus biking if I need to and wear cycling shoes for anything else. I have a brake and don't skid so foot retention around campus isn't absolutely necessary.

Don't go clipless. If cruising around town or going between classes is all you'll be doing (with the occasional longer ride as you mentioned) the power transfer isn't worth it. Plus, you have to wear dorky/uncomfortable shoes.
edit: TT's solution looks legit. |
Epic-- check out missionworkshop shoes for a good all-arounder walking, commuting, touring shoe. I basically live in mine, kinda flexy compared to some generic shimano mtb shoes, but are silent while walking, and can clip in or just as easily be used on platform pedals. and cost as much as any other quality non-biking shoe might.
and theyre seeeeeexy. http://missionworkshop.com/products/bike_shoes/mens.php |
Should I.... get 33 mm wide tires for my Bianchi Pista so i can have a smoother journey to work, bar, grocery, and friends houses? Or will the tires end up not spinning because they are too phat for the frame?
|
I dunno... will the Pista accept 33mm tires?
|
I also have no information to contribute.
|
Just get Chrome shoes. They work on longer rides and the cleat is recessed, so no clomping around. Avoid mud like the plague, though.
