I know both are cheap wheelsets, just wondering which one is more preferable in terms of weight/reliablilty/etc. I was planning to give my friend a wheelset today, but I guess he'll have to wait a few weeks so that I can try them out to compare.

Great condition for $400. Should I? Or I guess this is more of a "worth it?" |
If you got the dough to blow, go for it.

It wouldn't be for me, it'd be for the lady. I'm not a huge fan of Bianchis myself.
The thing is, she's kinda "meh" about this one... but if the price is right I figured she can always look for another frameset or complete and ride this one in the interim. But if the price is too high then I'm out. |

Unless you can goad her into riding a bike she "mehs." |
Get her a via condotti... That's the key to her heart and a ticket to bed. ;)
|
She's already got a Kilo that she likes (and I fund anyways).
You guys are right, Imma pass on this. Unless the lady drops to $300 or lower, then I might reconsider. Lulz. |
Should I get an ironic straight edge calf piece?
Imagine this. Simple XXX tattoo, but overlayed on three small portraits of Ian MacKaye. Thinking about it for years now. Would be back of the calf, so I would not have to look at MacKaye. |

Should I build my new wheelset using Velocity Fusions
http://www.velocityusa.com/default.asp?contentID=586 or Velocity Aeros? http://www.velocityusa.com/default.asp?contentID=580 I'm leaning toward Aeros because they're lighter and I really like the round look of them but I'm having a really tough time deciding. |
I would say fusions. Are they going on the 725?
|
Fusions are just a lighter weight looking Deep V. My vote is for the Aeros. Let us know how they perform, because I wouldn't mind lacing one up.

Should I buy the top-of-the-line Kreitler 4.5" rollers with full aluminum alloy drums with machined alloy end caps, or save $110 and buy the less expensive ones with alloy drums with polycarbonate end caps ? If I buy the cheaper ones will I lose any street cred or hipster points ?

Why such large rollers? I have 2.5" ones (2.25"?) and they're bordering on too easy.
|
lace up a pair of A23's! those look awesome, actually, that's what the "A" stands for; awesome.

I want them for maximum spinning, not resistance. I have a regular resistance trainer for those kinds of workouts. Also, the 4.5" rollers are a lot easier on tires. If you have the Kreitlers, then they are either 2.25" or 3.0". If you find the 2.25" rollers too easy then you are very fit and powerful.

Bump.
I'm buying some bullhorns for the Earl. Should I use the "red splash" handlebar tape or plain black handlebar tape? Pics: http://www.nashbar.com/images/nashba...7-RWBS-TOP.jpg The "red splash" is in the very middle and the black is on the very bottom row. |
I went with A23s. Stoked.
