after riding doubles for so long I made the switch to a single strap (brooks, too poor for double) and it just feels way less 'safe' for lack of a better word. the double makes me feel all warm and cozy, like my foot isn't going anywhere

I totally see that, but I don't skid so it's kind of a moot point for me. Plus I don't care for the way doubles look.

Serious question: how do you plan to convert the top one to fixed? Because other than a whole lot of hunting and pecking for the right ratio or an eccentric axle [and maybe a halflink] I'm out of ideas, and both of those are a pain in the ass for someone who didn't set them up.

Should I sell my Kilo complete for $360?
It's just barely too big for me.
But I like the bike.
Hm, not sure...

If I was a giant I would.
On another note, the TT height is SoOoOoO intimidating to look at.

For future reference - should I get the Wabi wheelset (Jalco/sealed Joy Tech), or the Velomine Open Pro/sealed Formula?

Open pro/ sealed formula have been long street proven; the economical workhorse of wheels of SS/FG. Not sure about the wabi BUT the wabi brand is a overly hyped brand in these parts that everybody talks about and nobody buys and the person that does is not very satisfied.
