Plus if you end up wanting to run a break you have the option.

striknein 08-22-12 01:03 PM

Or if you want to run a brake.

@NcA13...a proper leggenda requires italian parts
no sram, no enve, no american classic, no nitto...
don't eff up a splendido frame ;)

If you already have a perfectly fine FG/ road bike, I would save for fancy.

Agreed, but not quite... Pelizzoli's site shows the frame with Omnuims! I figure in this homologous world that we live in, as long as the components (mostly) are made by small companies, creating the best possible products, that it would be comparable.

@Leukybear Not just yet, had to send it to the shop for some minor repairs & inspection. It's been sitting in my driveway for the past 6 months untouched!

GeorgeOwnwell 08-22-12 09:26 PM

Should I use my Kazane or GTB for track? The other will be road.

Thinking about relacing to change up the commute

http://cache1.bigcartel.com/product_...cityA23-wm.jpg
A23's

OR

Archetype's

?

The Ambrosio style lettering on the Archetype is winning me over...

ddeadserious 08-23-12 01:02 PM

I like my fixed gear A23's enough that I think I'm going to build a set for my road bike as well.

Mumonkan 08-24-12 12:32 PM

[b/r shoe]
vs
[b/w shoe]

Get the color you want. Clipless shoes tend to last awhile and you don't want to be stuck with a color that you compromised to.

I was thinking of getting a new frame, but I'm not sure about frame value or what constitutes a good price.

Are either of these good deals?

Street rider 08-28-12 06:36 AM

Well the second one is a road frame, and it has an Italian BB.

Yeah, I don't mind that. I could build it up as a fixed just fine.

I'm just wondering if the prices are good for what those frames are. I don't have a good feel for vintage frame value. I'd like something that holds value in case I decide to sell it down the line.

I'm a bit torn between componentry. Should I sacrifice weight savings for looks?

Should I buy this bike??? (First road bike) http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/3237014632.html

FakeFuji 08-29-12 10:28 AM

I'd offer 80 for it and if he went to 90-100 if I had the money I would buy

Leukybear 08-31-12 02:53 PM

Should I reinstall the stock fork on my cdale track? I have a wound up on it at the moment but I think it takes away from the character of the bike.
