Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.

If fixed gear bikes get the ladies, why aint I getting no ladies? Is it because I don't have a motor to keep me from getting sweaty? Or is it because I wear a helmet that messes up my hair?

I'm so confused...

i thought craig's list was serious-this has got to be humour.

however, if not, it's a chance to take advantage of a lawyer........

if indeed, he really is one.

Hahaha - Campers haven't been in since, like, 2000.

I actually overheard this frat-looking guy yesterday on his cell phone say, "Bike? Naw. The bus only takes like 15 minutes. Yeah, I know it's only a couple miles, but if I rode I'd get all sweaty and gross."

girls like sweat. and if they don't, they aren't worth the time.

seriously, how many potential female prospects would go camping? would you really want to get near a girl who won't go camping? robots.

I'm aware. The post to the DC craigslist by someone claiming to be a lawyer led me to title the thread as I did.

Yes, we do.

Campers are shoes, yo. With very flexible soles, I might add, that are not so great for biking. Off the bike, though: the most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned. And durable - mine have lasted over 4 years. So really, it's kind of a shame they aren't hip anymore.

Picked the wrong week to go on travel.

Good one, New Guy.

No time for witty retorts...Vancouver beckons....

[Edit: You have to admit, a motor and no brakes would be pretty hardcore.]
