Nope. El Pelon is on Peterborough St. In the Fenway. But yes...it is very good.

Sounds like Chico's then, and their baja burritos and salsa verde are enough reason to check out Phoenix.
Oh yeah, plus it's flat, unless you want to join the Saturday and Sunday morning death march up South Mountain.

I really like boston. But I've never lived anywhere else, so I wouldn't know.
There aren't many hills in boston, just a few large ones which can be easily avoided. The rest of the city/area is pretty flat. The winters are also cold and usually snowy, probably similar to what you have in chicago, so this may/may not be a big deal.

oh, and sf drivers suck because they are tourists. it's so beautiful here, they are looking at the landscape and not on the road. new york streets are worse. It looks like wherever you go, you will find some bike nerds.

Portland rocks! I don't live there, and I never have, but I've enjoyed every visit. Its got all the goodness of the pacific NW, plus a cool city culture. I've considered moving there as my next destination.

portland is amazing, but i could never live away from the ocean for too long. i would lose my mind.
i've gone from boston 'burbs to providence,RI(pretty hilly), to NYC(awesome for biking and skateboarding). in september i'm moving to new orleans but i'll be taking lots of trips to socal, portland, seattle, nyc, boston, europe, etc...hopefully next year i'll be moving to london to go back to school...
i just want to live in as many places as possible in my life. i've sold most of my belongings this past year, so moving is easier, so i'm going to try to do just that...

It's about an hour drive to the coast from Portland. But the scenery is worth it all and Portland is one of the only affordable cities left on the west coast so close to the ocean. Of course, the water doesn't get much warmer than 60F so you usually have it to yourself.

but this guy knows what i'm talking about.i've driven up the coast of california all the way into portland and the coastline is gorgeous, but none of the places i saw looked very inviting for swiming or sunbathing...
i could be wrong though...i guess i'm an idiot. i'm going to go put my head in the oven.

OR state parks are some of the best in the country and take up a big percentage of the shoreline so there's no development.

Seattle is much like Portland, but goes to bed later. Portland was a bit sleepy - great town, but sleepy.
Seattle has
- tons of bike shops, many with rooted fixie culture. lots for diy-ers
- hills, sometimes long and steep, and ways around them if you're tired
- tons of bike routes, generally well thought out
- lots of folks on bikes
- great food
- beer. mmmm... beer
- good music
- smart, progressive people
- mountains nearby
- water all around (bonus - it's blue)
- temperate weather (ride all year, on and off road)
- beautiful springtime
- no state income tax
and so on...
I lived in Austin and Portland before Seattle. All three are great, but Seattle is the best for riding around town, and for many other things - not bbq, blues,or mexican though :'(

I've lived in San Francisco for 5 years, thinking about moving to Portland. Any SF -> Portland transplants that could comment? I ride 49-15, and that is a ***** in Bernal Heights, yes sir.
