Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

First Ride Report

Just got home from my first ride with my new Madison. I got dropped off at my LBS, picked the bike up and rode the 7 miles home. Does it feel good it get some exercise and enjoy it.

I know the new Madisons aren't too well liked around here, because OMG the TT isn't level. I feel like the bike is very nice, and does what I was looking for perfectly. I'm not a spinning god, but my cadence got me up to a nice pace that I am proud of. For the money I paid I don't think I could be happier.

Cool, and yes the Madison is a great frame. Nothing wrong with slopping top tubes. I have a sloping top tube
