Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I have a cockatiel as well. Great pet to have.

I longboard. I got addicted to riding sideways really early in life with skateboards. Then I got hooked on longboards and speed and have been bombing/carving hills up and down ever since. However, some hills do not like to be bombed and fight back. Total from skateboarding/longboarding: both arms broken twice 4 in all, one tailbone, one busted eyebrow needing stitches and scars up and down my elbows and arms from falling and taking road rash. Not to mention the surgery needed to take tissue from my lower back due to falling on my ass so much as a kid learning to skate.

Check these out if you like to longboard and have never ridden a carveboard. Its a completely new experience to ride hills with.

Add me to the list of model building nerds:

I used to have more pics of models online, but I recently switched web hosts and haven't updated my servers. I also snowboard in the winter, and am big into Anime and sci-fi. I read a lot of books... I don't do much else except drink booze and hang out with ladies..usually in that order so it can get awkward..

I got a Traxxas Bandit.

I'd recommend getting a kit car, as in one you build, like a lower end Tamiya. I didn't know how to fix my Traxxas because I didn't put it together, and that resulted in some embarrassing trips to the hobby store. I guess RC just isn't my thing.

Hah.. yeah, i've gotten that nitpick before, it's actually supposed to be upside down.

Here's the actual tank it's based on:

And just for scale reference

Also, i'm totally cool with filling this thread with cat gifs.

Get a nitro complete package, and learn how to properly break in and take care of the engine. Nitro cars put a very wide smile on my face. I have a few buggies and a truck that I mess around with an occasionaly race at the local track.

Aside from my daily bike ride, I enjoy tennis a couple of times a week, golf once a week, and working on my car and motorcycle (s2000 and CB750K). When there are waves, basically winters only in S FL, a bit of surfing too.
