I saw a gangster looking fella riding one with his kids to school on my commute this morning. And to top it off he had a for sale sign on the handle bars. ;)

this is the bicycle equivalent to a hooptie?

....Absolutely whorID! I think I want to cry!
Well, next week when I go up to Eugene(Elmira, actually) I've got to go up there and bust phat skidz, bruh! ...and hopefully not bust my little hemophiliac noggin, meh, if so, it's sewage time ....wait...that didn't work, you can't add age to sew to make it slang, it just spells out sewage...whatever! Fu*k yeah Ball-Mart! |
I understood absolutely none of that, except that you have a blood disorder.
There was a Genesis road bike version at mine a while back that was more subdued looking, but still with a flipflop. I shoulda bought it when it was inexplicably on sale for 70 bucks. Or maybe it's a good thing I didn't. |
I actually saw one of these on Friday. They are a lot more hideous in person.

Seriosuly...the basement of our warehouse building would be a perfect setting for us to dress in all black, put on ski masks and film each other torturing all signs of life from that stupid bike then drag it outside, light it on fire and throw it in the dumpster.

I know, but can you imagine a Thruster with Sugino 75s, Thomson stuff and an Aerospoke?

I think this is great (in all seriousness). All youth in my neighborhood ride department store bikes (even the kids that know how to ride and are strong enough to pull a Magna 20+ speed into a block-long wheelie). Of course, the problem is that the vast majority of these kids, after a few weeks on their bikes, have bikes with frozen or maladjusted cables. It is an almost daily occurrence to see a kid braking with his feet. Assuming the integrity of the fixed hub can last longer than the chain, or other vital component(s), the kids will be better off on these... things. Unless, of course, coaster brakes make a better comeback.
