Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Rekorderlig for me tonight. Swedish berry cider. I'll raid the fridge later when I get drunk enough. Thankfully I don't need to work tomorrow - the joys of shiftwork (days off midweek). I think I'll annoy my wife by trying to come up with some new sounds on one of my synthesizers.

While I don't doubt it's tasty, 9% > 7%

Dogfish Head is the IPA by which all others are judged.

English IPA
East Coast IPA
West Coast IPA
Belgian Houblon

What are we talking about here?

You can't really judge them all by one particular style...

I don't read up on beer all that much, but Dogfish Head 60 *is* often thrown out there as "my favorite" or "the best" IPA out there. I'm sure most people who are saying that mean American IPA, and might not know that there are other IPAs out there, but I think it's a fair enough statement.

I raced SSCX today and am wiped out. After dinner, my wife said "want another beer?" "Sure." She cracked open a Sam Adams "Black and Brew." I'll be damned if the caffeine isn't keeping me up! (Said Standalone at 3am)

It was pretty awesome... even though I don't really care for IPA's.

Tonight I helped demolish a growler each of Three Floyd's Dreadnaught and Arctic Panzer Wolf, a bomber of Three Floyd's Ragnarok, a longneck or two of Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, I'm not sure how many bottles of homebrew cider made by Misskaz's husband, and a pi.t or so of Lagavulin 16 Year Scotch whisky. Good times...

Also, I'm drunk...
