Dannihilator 01-24-12 07:58 PM

Since this past Thursday: 330 miles over the past 4 road rides.

hamfoh 01-24-12 08:20 PM

so are 110 cranks okay?

Dannihilator 01-24-12 08:26 PM

BCD?

110 bcd should be fine. It's not exactly new technology, the original mountain bike cranks were 5 bolt 110 bcd, and compact was 5 bolt: 94; 4 bolt: 104.

ride till it hurts, then only ride a little less

Dannihilator 01-24-12 08:36 PM

Legs are fatigued, besides I have a mtb that I can ride. ;)

jdgesus 01-24-12 08:53 PM

sounds like a perfect "ride a little less" scenario :)

Scrodzilla 01-24-12 09:56 PM

It's good to take a day off every now and then and let your body rest. I vote yes.

About to drop an order later this week; but before I do, do you think the A23 rims would hold up my fat ass (210lbs)?

Scrodzilla 01-25-12 07:01 AM

Without a single doubt.

They hold my fat ass with 30 pounds more than you, x2 on being fine.

107mm cranks on a 111mm BB-- am I going to hell?

Scrodzilla 01-25-12 09:05 AM

Yes. See you there.

Santaria 01-25-12 10:06 AM

Scrod,

My Devil frame has nodes on the downtube designed for drive-train specific applications. Being that I built this bike up as a FG/SS they're not being used. Handsome did such a good job with this frame, that leaving the little rubber covers on seems like an injustice. Is there some chrome option that was/is designed/jerry-rigged to cover them?

Scrodzilla 01-25-12 10:17 AM

How about these?

Santaria 01-25-12 10:20 AM

Yeah, those are perfection. Ordering some now. Thanks mate.

Scrodzilla 01-25-12 10:22 AM

No prob!

ddeadserious 01-25-12 02:15 PM

Scrod,

Any idea if there are any relations between Bianchi(gun holsters) and Bianchi(bike stuff), or Nitto(tires and automotive stuff) and Nitto(bike stuff)?

hamfoh 01-25-12 03:37 PM

do bb dust covers actually work?

Probably not. I've often wondered about Nitto but have never bothered to look into it.

I am need of mid level chrome riser bars (31.8). My old ones were Ritchey, which were fine, but they don't appear to have what I need. Saw some Origin 8 for dirt cheap ($20) but I not sure if that is too cheap.

Thoughts?

Scrodzilla 01-25-12 04:38 PM

Click the link in my sig and look around a little bit. :innocent:

TourDeHood 01-25-12 04:56 PM

Yeah I checked it out before I posted. Leader seems to be too small but the other Sub(urban) joints seem cool. So is that a co-sign for them?

8bits 01-25-12 06:44 PM

Scrod,

Do you know any good inexpensive fixed gear centric (always find bmx) chain tensioner? The MKS ones seem very nice but also expensive...
