*DOUBLE DIP* Can you point me in the direction of a quill stem that would fit for my Windsor Hour? BD says my current stem is a threadless 1.125. Never messed with stems before, and it would basically be purely for aesthetics so I might end up getting priced out of swapping and say "F it"... |
You have a 1 1/8" threadless setup. No quill for you!

The older ones were 1" threaded.
You can't use a 1" threaded fork/headset/quill stem in a 1 1/8" head tube. |

****, I bought a pretty cool stainless steel stem the co-op only to go home and findout it is 1 1/8. I had no idea this existed
|
Got any tips for getting bars straight after adjusting the stem/spacers? They always look straight when I set them up, but I usually have to stop and tweak them when I start riding and discover they're a little crooked.
|
Get degree in Advanced Rocket Science. Straighten bars. Profit.
