I say give it a shot. The worst that will happen is that it won't work.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Checked the bolt and that piece it threads into, both looked fine, but who knows based on just an eyeball test. Originally, I thought I used too much grease or something so I wiped a lot of the excess off. We'll see.

32h small flange hub (front) laced 2-leading, 2-trailing. What are your thoughts?

I have been told the spoke crossings may be too tight and I will be putting extra stress on the hub. Is this something I should worry about?

On a front I really don't think it will matter much. How much do you weigh?

You should be ok. Hopefully the person who built it knew what they were doing or it might be a ***** to keep true.

What size usps box do you usually use to ship drop bars? Just sold a set on eBay and I have no idea what option to pick from the shipping label menu...

We don't use UPS boxes. We order boxes that measure 18x8x6 in bulk.

So back to the Novatec hubs I effed up. What bearings would I need to get, and they're not hard to replace right?

Scrod, I really can't find much on tire clearance for the 2012 Leader 735. Can it fit 28c? To be extra specific, a gatorskin 28c, and soma everwear 28c.

Scrod, any ideas what would cause pain in the shins while riding, it's similar to shin splints? It only happens when I work up to a decent RPM. 46/17 gearing, no hills, no mashing.

I have no idea, man. Carleton would be the one to ask - but he's currently on his way to Portland to become Super Hipster.

Any thoughts on the Leader Cyclone hubs? Or the Leader X Alex wheelset that's built with them?

The hubs look nicer than they are and that wheelset weighs a ton.

What bike are we talking about here? If it's a geared bike, old derailleurs can be extremely squeaky. Lube up all the pivot points and moving parts with a drop of Tri-Flow or something similar. No WD-40.

Does it happen while you're standing up and pedaling or only when you're seated?

Its the old fuji, its running singlespeed now but i have the original back wheel on with the whole casette freewheel

it happens both standing or seated

i lubed all the moving parts after cleaning it up a bit and its still happening

its really not a big deal just one of those things i have to understand
