ooh. it could be a pedal. I just pout lots of force on them with my hands by pushing on and pulling on the cranks. But it very well may be the pedal.

How long did it take you to build up your collection of tools, and did you have a "completed" set before you opened up Bikeage?

dear scrod i love my centurion, i love its lugs and its steel, Its feel and the semi tight geometry too . i love how it handles and how it feels. I want track ends and ease of chain tension. I cannot afford those wonderful custome lugged steel frames but ive looked at the kilo tt lugged and a few others but as ive googled and i have googled.
I came upon wearefactoryfive.come and asked you about in the past.
would factory fives https://www.wearefactoryfive.com/fram...ue-custom.html be to expensive for the quality they offer?
its lugged, its steel. its not something ill be buying SOON but just a thought. ive youve any ideas on lugged steel frames all recommendations are appreciated.
I understand this isnt a fancy shmancy frame.
edit
can you guess what ive been doing

Dear Scrod,
I desperately want to buy an S3X, and some rims, and some other rims and brifters for another bike, and some MKS Urban pedals for both bikes, and some straps for a third, and ...
But I don't have any money.
Should I stop paying my rent and utilities bills to buy the bike bits or should I just harden up and accept I can't afford them?

When I first got back into bikes and started riding fixed, I bought basic tools to maintain my own bike. Then I got a job at a shop and started buying a lot of bigger stuff (headset press, truing stand, etc) at cost over the span of a couple of years. Once Retrogression opened, one of the smaller distributors we work with offered me great 'new shop' discount program for buying tools and supplies so I dropped some pretty serious coin on tools I never would have needed if I weren't a shop owner (along with some I don't even really need now).

Angie did some housecleaning recently and made about $2000 selling stuff we were literally going to throw away.

If budget is an issue, just buy a lugged Kilo. Those frames are actually pretty nice.

How do you buy from Colossi though? Do you just call them up and ask for one? There only seems to be one dealer in the US and no online store.

Anyone can contact them and buy direct.

I have to say I'm a big fan of their Mondial Road (though I know this is the wrong forum to talk about my lust for geared bikes). I don't see a price listed, but I'm sure it's out of my range. I'm a huge fan of the classic lugged steel aesthetic on a new bike (fixed or geared) but I'm cheap, so I'm going to keep hoping I come across an unused 62cm late 80's/early 90's bike at a garage sale. Until then, I look and dream.

Who knows. Colossi doesn't seem to have ridiculous pricing compared to other brands. They might be totally affordable. Maybe you should email them to check it out.

wow thanks scrod and holy **** colossi has some nice framesets...
time to start saving
out of curiosity why arent you a colossi dealer?
the mondial track, rambler pursuit, cheeko track, lo pro, rambler track and then they have custom stocks like the accelerator and niteo.
the accelerator is cool because of what they used to build it.
scandium!

For me it's ginger tea in the morning (this especially helps if you're a little nauseous), then something spicy with a lot of protein for lunch. My go-to is usually a breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs, chorizo, black beans, potatoes, cheese and a few different hot peppers.
Sometimes washing it down with a High Life mixed with orange juice (what we like to call a North Shore mimosa) works wonders too.

When are we all going to realize Scrod is just a plant for the Big Chorizo lobby?
