Hey Scrod,
Do you have any miles on the Fyxation Curve Saddle? I know you're running a Turbo on your Thunderdome and they seem to be fairly similar in style. I'm looking for a white saddle for my bike and the Fyxation comes up time and time again in my searches. I know RG carries them so I didn't know if you'd used one or not. Seems the white Turbos command a bit of a premium via the auction site, but the Curve looks to be an interesting, much less expensive option.
Thoughts on the Curve?
Also, on the Cane Creek brake levers, are the Tan Hoods fairly similar to the tan used on gumwall tires? A lot of the images online make them look pretty dark. I know I'm being superficial and stupid, but... well, colors, man.
Best,
Matthew

The CC gum hoods are a little darker than The sidewalls on Paellas but not as dark as some pics online suggest. This is pretty accurate:

I've only ridden on a Curve saddle during a test ride after working on a customer's bike but it seemed pretty comfortable. Same general shape as a Turbo but with a little more padding.

2. Thanks for not totally ragging on me for being all picky about colors.

i think they match pretty perfectly
also when theyre actually on the bike, they would never be close enough to each other for you to notice the slight difference

I should have said the gum color doesn't match the sidewalls on new Pasellas (which do darken up over time).

Not a question... Just wanted to thank you for the recommendation on the IRD Defiant Crankset. I haven't installed it yet, but it's a damn nice component. Heavy, solid, tight. Just a killer piece with a bit of a vintage feel which is exactly what I was going for. Super cool item, man. Thanks!!!

Hey Scrod,
I currently have a non-Italian Gara with the full-carbon Dodici fork. I'm considering a Vigorelli as a possible replacement - the geometries look similar (from what little I can tell from Dodici's site), but what do you think about build quality, etc... between them?
Thanks!

Veloplugs are dumb. I always use 16mm Velox tape on Archetypes.
