I've had a CT-3 for at least a decade other than changing the pin a few times I can say its been very reliable

My CT-3 actually sucked. I have no idea how I ****ed it up but it happened. I even bought a new pin for it and it still couldn't rotate straight anymore.

Scrod,

What should I wear to this ski/winter themed party without having to sweat my *** off?

Scrodzilla 01-10-12 06:32 PM

Tighty whiteys and a ski mask.

Yes.

hamfoh 01-10-12 10:29 PM

scrod is a 19mm seatpost bolt the right size for the 722 clamp? I measured and it seemed the one I got was 20mm (the problem wasn't the length but fitting into each other), so I'm guessing I'm measuring just a bit off or 19mm should be fine. Just want to make sure

Dannihilator 01-10-12 10:42 PM

How bad is my avatar? :D

Scrodzilla 01-10-12 10:49 PM

ham - you should be all set with a 19mm bolt.

Dan - I heard it was much worse than it really is.

Dannihilator 01-10-12 10:52 PM

It took me all of 3 minutes to make it.

Any suggestions on maintanence books? Since my wreck I want to take apart my bike to do a full inspection on what went wrong with the drive train etc. I don't feel like paying $150 down at the LBS. Thanks.

If it's anything like the Miche bottom brackets I've had experience with, your hand.

Yeah no kidding. Hmm. I wonder if a freewheel remover will work?

That will clear the spindle?

PlattsVegas 01-12-12 11:09 PM

Scrod,

Have you ever tried Aguardiente? If not I highly recommend it.

EDIT: Sorry, it is off topic. Not bicycle related at all. Imbibing it influenced me to post the question.

I haven't but I don't think I'd like it. I'm not much of a liquor drinker.

jpsawyer 01-13-12 08:56 AM

Dear Scrod,
When truing a wheel do you take the the tubes and tire off, or leave them on? I normally take them off, but I know people that say to leave them on and some people say to just deflate the tire, and some say to leave it fully inflated.

Scrodzilla 01-13-12 06:58 PM

It depends. I usually leave the tire on unless the rim has a stubborn hop.

jdgesus 01-13-12 08:04 PM

dear scrod: why are phil wood cogs so f'n loud?

homebrewk 01-13-12 08:32 PM

So... I have a dance tomorrow night. Should I dance with everyone else or stand awkwardly on the dance floor and talk?

Come on man! Not scrod obviously, but some things you don't really have to ask scrod...

I think females are the only people who can go to a dance, not dance at all, and keep their cool points. Like my high school homecoming date, who only wanted to slow dance, which was fine with me.
