Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If it makes you happy, do it. Life's too short to care what the rest of us geeks, dweebs, and ****zes think about the bike you like. You're the one who's going to be riding it, so get something that makes you smile (unless that means riding with no saddle if that's your thing, no one wants to see that no matter if it does make you smile).

I meant for this thread to be a discussion about this particular frame, not a "should I buy this" thread. But thanks for the advice; it's something good to keep in mind.

The Maji is a new frame that Voodoo just started putting out this year. There is a brief biography of the company at the beginning of the article linked in the OP.

Bikes: everywhere

Wonder what kind of MTBs that urbanvelo dude's been riding? My 15" (38cm) MTB has a 56cm effective top tube. I have had some short top-tubed MTBs from back in the day, but "serious" MTBs made after 1990 or so rarely have short top tubes.

Major toe overlap on this shorty from 1988 !
