Actually you can, it's a mode but battery will suffer.
As for tron colors let's just say I can get a customized pair and I'm up on the wall as far as colors go.

from the front and rear they probably provide hardly any light for cars to see and it's way too low to the ground.
the light that is created just shines on the ground (as opposed to into the drivers eyes) and will get lost with shadows of street lamps
plus if craftsmanship is on par with all the other ****ty lights out there, they'll short out in less than a year of regular riding (not to mention the forces acting on the lights will be on the rim which are much more jarring than a light clipped onto your backpack or seatpost).

But as a 'be seen' light it looks decent. The LEDs look pretty bright, and if they throw light 360º like the maker claims then they should provide some decent side visibility (while looking way cooler than spoke reflectors). Ground splash might get washed out in the street lights, but that doesn't make the light less effective on unlit or under-lit streets. As to durability, it's kind of idiotic to make any claims for or against until the light has been on the market and in the street long enough for a consensus to form. It might be crap, like some lights, or it might be awesome, like other lights, or might just be somewhere in between.
The Revolights look cool to me, but I like flashy lights. I currently run two Monkeylights in the 'muter's front wheel and drool over over the Down Low Glow lights (although price and durability has prevented purchase of a DLG). I'd be more interested in the Revolights if they came in colors other than white and red.

There is probably a reason none of the promotional videos show the bikes from directly behind or directly in front.
I'm guessing these things would throw very little light in the directions that actually matter.

I'm glad someone caught that. It was an I'm just gonna rely on autocorrect for this one moment, but I liked the way it turned out so I left it.
