Looks neat, very igneous. Not sure I'd rock them, but it's cool.

Very cool concept. They will work for "be seen" lights very well, but I don't know about actually seeing on a dark road/trail without a headlight.

This was posted before but it's quite worth to repost due to its ingenuity. I for one pledged a while back.

Actually you can, it's a mode but battery will suffer.

As for tron colors let's just say I can get a customized pair and I'm up on the wall as far as colors go.

you got ripped off
from the front and rear they probably provide hardly any light for cars to see and it's way too low to the ground.
the light that is created just shines on the ground (as opposed to into the drivers eyes) and will get lost with shadows of street lamps
plus if craftsmanship is on par with all the other ****ty lights out there, they'll short out in less than a year of regular riding (not to mention the forces acting on the lights will be on the rim which are much more jarring than a light clipped onto your backpack or seatpost).
it's just another ****ty gimmick

it has some front light spray, but its not on par with conventional systems there. the side visibility is sweet.

Agreed that as a 'to see' light it looks pretty limited; the light splashes only 15 feet or so forward in the vid, which is pretty useless to navigate by, and that amount of splash might be further compromised by wide tire/narrow rim combos (like the 50mm/24mm on my commuter).

But as a 'be seen' light it looks decent. The LEDs look pretty bright, and if they throw light 360º like the maker claims then they should provide some decent side visibility (while looking way cooler than spoke reflectors). Ground splash might get washed out in the street lights, but that doesn't make the light less effective on unlit or under-lit streets. As to durability, it's kind of idiotic to make any claims for or against until the light has been on the market and in the street long enough for a consensus to form. It might be crap, like some lights, or it might be awesome, like other lights, or might just be somewhere in between.

The Revolights look cool to me, but I like flashy lights. I currently run two Monkeylights in the 'muter's front wheel and drool over over the Down Low Glow lights (although price and durability has prevented purchase of a DLG). I'd be more interested in the Revolights if they came in colors other than white and red.

Don't stress, I did not say it was going to wholly replace my traditional lighting set up as it is today; just to compliment it.

There is probably a reason none of the promotional videos show the bikes from directly behind or directly in front.

I'm guessing these things would throw very little light in the directions that actually matter.

$250 is an insane price for the product itself.
