Yeah that flat black looks great but I'm guessing that is a temporary fork just for the photo. Looks like a 1" steel fork and a 1-1/8th integrated headtube alloy frame. You're right, it would be perfect with a carbon fork.

Wrong. The Sprint comes with a lugged steel fork to mimic the Cannondale Track.

that's interesting, looks weird to me w/ that fork but maybe I'm used to looking at road and tt bikes and not so much track or fixed.

The Cannondale track is an older bike, before the dominance of threadless headsets and carbon forks

emailed superb a while ago about just buying a fork (from the sprint) for a friend's bike that needed a lower rake with a brake hole. no response. maybe it went to their spam inbox or whatever, giving it the benefit of doubt.

don't worry, morgan. i don't have a problem with cambridge AT ALL. you guys are the ****. i just don't like jason, to be honest. and apparently some of my friends don't either (not all). i always tell my friends to go to cambridge, so you and pete can take care of them in your sexxxi arms.

Wow for someone who has ever made a single complaint to our shop you sure have a lot of sh*t to talk online. grade A trolling right here. And it seems like most of your complaints are from someone you know and not your own. I am sure we have made a mistake or 2, what shop hasn't, but most of the stuff you posted about us is flat our lies or slanted to make us sound like jerks.

We actually have 3 mechanics, but 1 head mechanic that does the bulk of our repairs. He actually spends most of his time doing tune ups on sub $400 commuter bikes, and maybe about .0005 percent of his time mounting tri-spokes.

1. We used to let anyone change flats on our sales floor, but almost every time it ended with someone taking apart their whole bike, blocking customers from browsing the shop, and then needing help to fix it anyway. We have a fully functional repair shop downstairs, so now we either lend basic tools to customers to take outside to work on their bikes, or they can relax on the couch and wait 5 minutes for our mechanic to do it. We have a very small shop and just don't have the space on the sales floor for repairs. Also we even offer a discount to bike messengers!!

2. We have appraised countless wrecked bikes, and still do. I think there must be more to this story.

3. I don't recall this but believe me I would never recommend anyone crimp a frame just to fit some cranks. Sram omiums aren't really adjustable so either they fit or they don't. We have done a ton of custom builds where they don't fit and the only option is to go with different cranks.

4. How could a mechanic have stolen your friends wheels? I just can't even picture how this is possible, did he come to pick up his bike after a repair and not notice it was missing it's wheels?? This is just absurd.

5. I have had many customers ask about where we build our frames and I have never said "I'm not telling" that's crazy!? Our frames are all handbuilt in a small factory in China, This factory also builds frames for some much larger Italian brands, and their quality is top notch.

6. I am sorry if your stem got scuffed, but I don't remember a complaint about this, we try to make up for any mistakes we make with our customers.

As far as the tubing on the vivace, it is italian made columbus thron, however columbus has just decided to discontinue making this tubing in italy, so we are looking at other options, most likely Columbus Zona tubing. We will be starting a pre-order for the vivace frame as soon as we get the tubing spec sorted out.

Also someone asked about the forks being sold seperately, and I am sorry I didn't see that email, but we do have forks available separately so give us a call or shoot another email and we'll get it hooked up for you.

No worries, don't buy one if you don't like it. But all anyone talks about these days when a new frame comes our is what other frame it looks like. Fact is, it is a bike frame, unless you get crazy they all look pretty much the same except for paint and branding. Mash wasn't the first pursuit aluminum track frame with carbon fork, and there are about 30 other lugged steel frames that look similar to the superb vivace. If you stripped the paint and pantographs off of colnago's, cinelli's, eddy merckx, de rosas, rossins, etc, I bet you wouldn't be able to say which one was which. We wanted to make some high quality track frames that would be affordable and look great, and so far beside a few snarky comments on forums we have a had a great response from our frames and we are really stoked on em.

I think it's great that Jason has come here to answer questions and stand behind his shop and brand. Connecting with customers is a business practice to respect not make fun of.

So you are saying that it is pure coincidence that your two frames look like blatant copies of the Cannondale Track and Cinelli Supercorsa Pista?

I don't understand why everyone is giving the Superb guys such a hard time. If you don't like their frames and their business practices, then don't support them with your money. Seems pretty simple to me.

I don't personally have a problem with Superb, although it does bother me if they don't want to admit that their frames are essentially remakes.

It's like when the guy from Wolfmother said he didn't listen to Led Zeppelin and discounted them as an influence.

Sorry i made everyones vaginas get sandy i just wanted to bring up a topic that bugs me, theres more than one way to skin a cat and i think its sad when a company doesnt try and make its own product but looks to what is or was popular, give me a bike that looks like a c'dale track made with a ti tubeset. Atleast then you will be enhancing the prior design not keeping it the same as in ninety duece.

Since I've been to both shops, I know they are good. I've been to too many bad ones and you really have to give props to ones that are doing a good job. Boston is lucky, there are a lot of shops and Cambridge is one of my fav's. I discovered Superb a bit late to really spend time there but what I saw, I liked.

Why would Superb respond to that kind of nonsense. Sorry Carleton, enjoy your posts a lot but it's just "trolling for and argument" and I hope they ignore it.

I guess it's because they're custom. And italian. And (maybe just me) I feel like Superb is trying to just cash in on a fad.

All in all, I don't care and am behind the philosophy that if you don't like a company/product/person, just don't support them. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
