Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

got a helmet that I'm going to return, but I'm still going to end up with a helmet after I do (suggestions? I see everyone in Lazers! but I'm liking the Mavics). got a jacket I can actually bike in, some clothes, an accessory pouch, a nice mousepad, a long sleeve jersey.

Bikes: BMX, fixed gear

I got a pair of Schwalbe Durano's, Fifa 12, the original three Bourne books, way too much candy and junk food, and a few new shirts. Good haul. And I got a little lizard from Scrod with my tires.

So i've been lurking around the forum for awhile deciding which fixed gear I should get. After much researching, I decided to buy a Motobecane Messenger off of BikeIsland (didn't have enough money to buy it brand new off BikesDirect). Anyways, thanks guys for helping me choose my first fixed gear.

Fizik sent me a replacement saddle straight from Italy just in time for the holiday weekend. I was pretty excited.

Love my Pendleton, framebuilding equipment is one of those gifts you buy yourself and then you have friends who really know what you like (bike wise) and they gift you with a Carradice bag.

My wife got me some very nice wool socks and a hand brazed belt buckle with a cycling motif...

my silca 20+ year old silca pump has been eating seal kits so i finally broke down and replaced it using a gift card i was given:

so far it has been very nice the 3in gauge, wide base, and relief valve are very nice features but i still plan on repairing the old silca, i just need to find what is tearing the leather wiper.

i also gave myself a gift and participated in the rudy project "free gear deal"

noyz glasses:

i got the laser black lenses and a set of photochromic lenses. my first impressions are great. it is no wonder they are a favorite in the pro tour

helmet:

i dont think it will be as cool on a hot day as my previous helmet but it feels way more comfortable and secure. the previous giro dug in a few places.

the kit also included a hat, tshirt, and bag but they are not as important.
