Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

OR, maybe a ride up into the columbia river gorge....not sure yet

I'll follow suit with the no-handed motion pic from today's ride :

What I saw on the train today after the ride. Don't know if it counts as jackassery so I'll post it here :

rode down to westlake center (got lost) to meet point83's, then rode through the folk festival setup and then up the steep hill. 34-28, all the hills.

either i was going 3mph up the whole hill or i'm already getting used to (lol) hills?

I did a loop around town this morning to gauge how I felt, then headed south on Route 18. Ended up in Paint Bank

It was a really nice day, and I didn't push too hard. Too bad you can't see any scenery around here for the trees

Total for the day was 61 miles in the hills, fixed.
