Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

30 mile trip up a country road trail with my boss and his brother. Super hot, got burnt shoulders but it was awesome. Going to shoot for a ~40 miler this weekend.

Also, while I won't give it sole responsibility, I've gone from 224 pounds to 197 pounds since January 2nd this year! Fresh/healthy diet and lots of bike rides are definitely helping.

I love bikes!

May I ask what make/model toe straps those are? They look functional AND comfy.

Sometimes I like to pull out my calculator from my jersey during rides to take pictures of my fellow riders too.

I think it was a photo enforced stoplight camera, actually.

Not sure if serious but...
Light is red in opposing direction. Angle is off, believe me I've received letters with portraits of myself behind the wheel. Plus the gen. public doesn't get access to the work of these for legal reasons.

Totally wasn't serious. Ever gotten pegged with a red light camera?

They take really bad photos. Worse than calculator photos.

I don't think they're that bad of a quality, they're not after a smile nonetheless.
Maybe you can relate to this but I hate the city of Fremont. Bay area red light camera haven.
Even if you're not at fault the damn bias judges only cancel out half of your $321 supposed debt to society.

There's a light here in San Leandro that my brother has nearly 2 grand in red light violations at; albeit he isn't the brightest guy, it's still pretty ridiculous.

My bus to school runs down Stevenson in Fremont, and since it's a bus, they don't stop at yellows really, and it probably gets flashed once a week, haha.

Tell me the intersection & I probably have gotten a ticket from it; I've gotten one @ marina x teagarden (right off the 880 off ramp; the intersection to Burrel field) & @ floresta x washington (intersection to bally's)
All from trying to get by yellows.
