I work at 5 Guys in Bethany Beach, DE for the summer. This is a road I over look on my daily commute to the beach.

Today I took the Lotus on the interstate loop ride. It turned out to be the most enjoyable ride I have done this year, around 59 miles in 5 hours at a relaxed pace.

Crossing into West Virginia:

At Sweet Springs:

At the top of Peter's Mountain, looking back down into West Virginia:

It is only around 2000 feet elevation gain from bottom to top in three miles, but some sections are steep. (I LOL'd at the Bob sticker on the sign) Looking ahead into Virginia:

A nice view close to home:

The last shot is by far the best ;) looks amazing!

Saturday I rode up a few miles from my house to meet some family and friends for some beach volleyball.

We had 72 riders for last night's pub crawl. It was a very mild night, the coolest in a month or two, after a rainy Saturday.

May I ask what bag this is? And where might I find it? :)

That is a military surplus bag modified for bicycle use by Jeff Potter at OutYourBackDoor.com. He also sells on ebay. I have been satisfied with it so far.

first long bike tour? careful, it is easy to get hooked for life :)

call it blasphemous, but i would really appreciate your photos more without the faux vintage look to them

craigcraigcraig 08-24-12 02:53 PM

second long bike tour. The faux look is because the camera is an Olympus Pen ee from the 80's.

:thumb: small point and shoot film cameras are fun.

jdgesus 08-25-12 10:35 AM

film is fun. no idea "what you have" until its developed

when i was your age, digital cameras cost more than a car. get off my lawn
also, lovely fotos

also, also, how many feets of elevation u get for the entire tour?

yummygooey 08-25-12 10:41 AM

that girl is wearing a neck brace?

craigcraigcraig 08-25-12 11:03 AM

I haven't added it up yet but my guess is around 120k total. Pennsylvania just goes straight up and down all day.

Yes, one day two girls crashed and had to call an ambulance. As a precaution they gave one a neck brace and allowed us to keep it. She is only wearing it as a joke here.
