Rode to Marietta Square. Marietta was one of the towns burned by Sherman in 1864. The flames at the end of Gone with the Wind were supposed to be Marietta burning. Too cold to stop for lots of pictures.

Too cold for me to do a road ride,
Weird crystals on the edges of the puddles, the strands are about 3 inches long and have a little bit of dirt on the end that I presume was pushed up as the crystal grew. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=504623 Not thick enough to ride on, just barely enough to hold up the bike. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=504624 |

Top cap was a gift but I think I might've seen it on kustom caps long time ago. The photo related one mash sells is the front of a Zeiss lens. Also dope.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/fa...=w1403-h790-no Poached a little trail behind the Point Bonita Lighthouse ranger station that I've always wondered about. Found some cool old rusty **** to play on. |
That's cool.
I could be wrong but I think those are harbor defenses - artillery and anti-aircraft bunkers built around San Francisco during World War II. You can see a big one in the background on the right sticking out of the hillside which would have been used for a 16" gun. The smaller one under your bike was probably anti-aircraft. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...SF_16_inch.jpg Definite fear of Japanese invasion back then. A tour of SF Bay's hidden military fortifications - CNET That's a super cool pic. Don't get yourself in trouble! |
keep your eyes peeled for marines. lol
too soon? @johnnytheboy whats that jawn attached to the front of the rack, light mount? |

Whats crazy is that not only were there WW2 installments but WW1 AND Civil war apparently. Lots of history in SF for stuff like that :thumb:
