Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Well, let's approach this in an intelligent manner. OP, the clamp diameter of the stem is 21.1mm, which is 0.83". The clamp surface of the bars is 1". That's 3/8 of an inch difference. You can attempt it, but the members of the BFSSFG community are in no way responsible when you die by equipment failure.

TL.DR. No. Learn how to math.

I love the riser review:

"21 of 23 people found the following review helpful
1.0 out of 5 stars Junk., June 12, 2007
By
Matthew Boulanger (South Burlington, Vermont, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)

Bent on the second day I was using it, as I pulled up on the bar while pushing down on the opposite pedal to start after stopping at a stop sign. Glad it didn't happen on a tough climb somewhere. "

Apparently risers are the new drops!
