It's part of the terms of my probation. I don't like it, but I figure it's best to put up with it so as to prevent further...episodes.

as in "All in the Famly" episodes? Or just a general "Mr. Fugazi Dave, stop throwing rancid cantaloupes, come down from the tower, and put on your probationary pants" type thing?

The latter is a closer guess, though you forgot the badgers and the mayonnaise.

I don't know how or why, since you tried that thing with the mayonaise last night on yourself.

For a change, we actually rode - down to the southside on the lakefront path and then back up north and then west. My legs were tired by the end - my body was crashing though that smoothie lasted a while. What did we do? 30, 35 miles? It was a damn good ride. More soon, more regularly. Sorry we missed ya, Pete.

My favourite part - dodging through stupid frat f#$ks at the Bears game, weaving and running crazy through some thick traffic in the city and then, some of us almost got in a near collision with a car - gladly, we avoided the FD fixie curse...

Riders -
Jeff - Stickerguy
Naz - Absntr
Josh - [165]
Ira - Ira in Chi
Andrea - not on the forums? (Ira?)
Jeff - Yuppie

Finally someone who agrees with me-- btw Zodiac isn't bad either, then Neal went off into Critic pleasing, I'm smarter than you are mode. Snow Crash had swords, nuclear powered sidecards, hot young skateboard chicks. That was what rocked not how "smart" the writing was.

Zodiac is not some super smart story either, it's about this guy who people refer to as the granola powered james bond, sort of a mild, ecoterrorist.

I think Neal got a book deal based on word count, and bigger words pay more too.

I'm all for the minimalist lifestyle, but do you own more than one pair of pants?

not necessarily. I use what I have that works for the ride. Didn't know this was a fashion show or that I had to rotate stock.
I'll make sure to bounce my ideas off the board before getting anything else.
Thanks

I think we may need a "fixie fashions" sticky. Possibly with an accessories and outerwear wear subforums. This topic comes up a little too often.

Sorry, I forgot to add 14,000 smileywidgetthingies to my post to indicate good-natured sarcasm, i.e. humor. [165], keep your pants on. (another 14k smileys). And please, dear god, no fashion sticky.

come on ... can't I just think you're cute without the implication that I'm drinking? you're not that bad that it requires alcohol to make me think such a thing.

I saw stickerguy at the handlebar on sunday. I missed the ride b/c I was sick (ickky) and my family came down to console me for that and other relationship woes.

Sorry I missed it. Sounds like it was great fun.

Did 165 attempt that thing with the mayonaise again?
