Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? $17.99 with $2.99 shipping. Use USPS and it takes 3 days from coast to coast or less

Not the SL model, but only $10 if you're not looking for bling...

Haha Scrod.
I don't feel ripped off. I just wish they would've had the color I wanted (no color). But mostly I'm mad at myself for not waiting. I didn't need the chain that day, but I did feel like working on my bike. So I went ahead and bought it. And then 15 minutes later it was installed so the pleasure of working on my bike was over with rather quickly.
Next time I'll order from Retro for sure. I'll probably be placing all of my orders there as long as it isn't something I absolutely HAVE to have same day (disabled bike). I like the site, the vibe, the prices and most of all... the SCROD!

Nah, man...I'm not trying to say you should have bought from my shop and there are plenty of other places that have great prices. Just be a little more careful with your money.

I get ya. I know it's difficult to walk the line in forums like these when you're a vendor. You can't be seen as someone who pushes your store all the time. But just so you know, I don't think you come off that way at all. And as a consumer, you should know I find your website/store really fuggin cool. I dig the name, logos, design, prices, products, etc. You're doing it right and I will definitely support that.
And on top of all that it's cool that you don't pop up in every thread like "buy from retro!" whenever anyone mentions a part.

My cousin's chain KMC 410 chain snapped when we were biking too. Had to do a Fred Flintstone stop.

FWIW, the only chain I've ever broken was a Z410.

I wish I could have still coasted.. When mine snapped it got caught and rotafix'd itself so I slammed my chest even harder and flipped over the bars. So embarrassing. And painful.

I'll probably be switching my Izumi Eco to my Scramber beater and buy a KMC K710SL in gold for my Pake.
