Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

First Fixed Gear - Need Advice on craigslist bike

Hello,

So I'm new to fixed gear bikes and the forum. I'm very interested in purchasing a fixed gear bike and have done a good amount of research. I was hoping to get some opinions on a bike I have been looking at on craigslist. I believe it is a great bike for the price and exactly what I want but I would like to get a second opinion. The link is below, let me know what you think. Or if you recommend another bike.

https://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/bik/3122635864.html (hopefully I'm allowed to post links)

I care more about the quality of the parts than the appearance of the bike.

Thank you in advance for the help,
Justin

Dude, a poll is not the right way to get information about a purchase. Popular opinion is not the right way to make a decision.

Gather information then weigh the pros vs cons, costs vs benefits.

I'll be back. Gotta run an errand.

I've been trying. It has all gotten very confusing.

If I need to tell one more person there is a DEDICATED THREAD FOR DISCUSSING THINGS FOUND ON CRAIGSLIST & EBAY THAT IS ALWAYS ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE FORUM, I'm going to start murdering people with my bare hands.
