Looking for a chrome SS 54

They seem to be hard to find. I love the mercier kilo chrome at bikesdirect but they are sold out. Any suggestions where to find one reasonably priced

By reasonably priced what do you mean - what is your budget?

Here's a nice one :

I do not, but the site is a solid site.

Do you have any experience/tools to put a bike together?
Option 1- Have a shop throw it together (likely will be $60~$100)
Option 2- Spend that $60~$100 on tools and put it together yourself

I'd do option 2, because you'd have the tools to do any maintenance yourself. The Jury is actually really sweet, I kinda want one, but I already have a "bling" bike haha.

In that case I'd just do it. Since it comes in pieces, you won't really have to check over the work. Putting together a SS bike is pretty easy and straightforward.

why would you say this?

and by that i mean, why would you say this?

you should always always always check over your work and in bikes direct's case, you should check over 'their' work as well. they don't tension the headset, they don't always grease and torque the bb properly, they often don't tension the wheels very well, and in general, you should ALWAYS check your work. everyone who's had a problem with a bikes direct bike has either had a problem with paint(at this price, duh), frame alignment(again, price) or something preventable like proper installation. with chrome you just have to worry about frame alignment which should be covered under 'warranty.'

just know the jury uses long reach brakes. that threw some people off.

He was simply saying that since the build kit comes in pieces and doesn't come pre-assembled by BD, there won't be any of their "work" to check over.

Also, the Jury build kit comes with long-reach brakes.

Bikes Direct/Bike Island frames are known to have occasional issues with alignment, clearance, etc.
