Gold chain whose color lasts?

Stupid question (because fashion, not function):

I have a KMC z410 gold chain on my bike now and the gold has faded noticeably in a few weeks since i put it on (i just compared to the extra links i took out and it's noticeably duller). It's only been cleaned once with a citrus degreaser (i tried to avoid using mineral spirits/acetone/brakleen etc) and i'm only riding like 30 miles/week. Are there any chains that stay golder longer?

And yes, i am a hopeless poseur.

The ones I've seen still lose their brightness and turn a light brownish color over time.

Come on Pony Boy. Nothing gold can stay.

I am truly disappointed it took this long for someone to say it. Scrod, you were close. Shame on you guys. Shame.

Wear it around your neck, and it will always stay gold.

You got a lot on your plate Carleton, don't worry.

Also amused by the title. Just noticed OP personified a bike chain. BFSSFG indeed.
